HEALING WATERS PROJECT
Clay reviewed the status of the Durango event and noted that Robin
Marsett has been working on a second effort at Ft Huachuca. After
some discussion of materials required for the latter, John Singley
moved that a maximum of $500 be approved for materials to be used
for the Ft Huachuca Healing Waters program. Scott Koktavy seconded
the motion. Approval was unanimous.
WEB SITE
Stan Vanagunas and Robin Marsett have been working with Mark Barlett
to update the OPTU web site. Clay urged the entire board and any
members interested to participate by suggesting ideas for improvement.
Larry suggested that the workdays section could be improved by
the addition of maps to workday locations and more information
about the projects. Several comments were made to effect that
changes would call for additional funding. The board agreed that
in principle we would be willing pay for the improvements.
A NEW ANNUAL EVENT
After extensive discussion the board agreed that Mike should contact
Ed Engle to explore the possible of participating in various ways
during a full day event on October 24, 2009 at the SK Builders
location. This event will stand alone as an addition to other
OPTU annual events. Various other ideas were mentioned for inclusion
during the event and will be followed up once the meeting date
can be confirmed with the speaker..
FAMILY OUTING 2009
Scott was able to reserve Dead horse Ranch State Park for Nov
6-9 for the 2009 family outing. 10 slots are assured at this time
and more can be reserved if required. The outing should be added
to the web site.
GIRL SCOUTS OUTING AT ROSE CANYON
Clay noted that he had been contacted by a local girl scout troop
leader to provide fishing guidance for scouts during an outing.
John Singley suggested that Clay contact Steve Brown because he
fishes the Canyon frequently. Clay will follow-up.
With no additional matters to be discussed Clay adjourned the
meeting at 6:50PM
