My Favorite Recipe
Chicken on the grill with Bulls-Eye barbecue sauce, baked
beans made up by my wife (Bush’s with extra brown sugar,
bacon, and onions), biscuits with honey or Lyle’s Golden
Syrup, and a nice loaded salad. Yum.

Notes from the Fly Shops
Don’t miss Sage Demo Day at Dry Creek Outfitters Saturday,
May 3
rd
. Sage rep, John Sherman, will be giving casting
instruction and presentations throughout the day. Tucson’s Doug
Buck (Doug Buck’s Castaway Adventures) will give entertaining
presentations (11am & 2pm) of his recent flyfishing exploits in
Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Costa Rica. Finally, Andy Burk of the
Reno Fly Shop will give interactive fly-tying demonstrations (12n
& 3:30pm) during the event. Andy is one of the industry’s most
innovative and proficient fly tyers and he’ll tie anything but
Atlantic Salmon flies. He’ll discuss the creative process he uses to
come up with new designs and will involve the audience by
having them choose the fly he designs - whether it be an insect,
baitfish, crustacean, terrapin or reptile! Then he’ll go through
how he decides the fly needs to function, chooses the materials
and designs the fly. We will also be raffling off a brand new Sage
Z-Axis 590-4 fly rod! As always, there is no charge and we’ll have
the Dry Creek BarBQ going strong, so bring the family.
